Doug graduated from Delta College with a degree in engineering. He worked at Dow Chemical for 32 years in a variety of positions including safety and health coordinator, a head operator, a delivery specialist, and a technical advisor.
Marc has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Saginaw Valley State University and Associates in Environmental Technology from Delta College. Marc joined Great Lakes Safety in 2007 as a Senior Safety Specialist. Marc primarily teaches GLSTC’s specialty classes, such as Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS), Confined Space, Hazwoper, Lead RRP, Fall Protection, Scaffold and OSHA classes.
Mike has a Business Management degree from Northwood University. Mike joined GLSTC in 2018 as a Senior Safety Specialist. Prior to this, he has extensive experience in safety, manufacturing and construction.
Greg’ has a Master’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Educational Leadership in addition to his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. He has extensive manufacturing and educational experience.
James has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Arkansas Polytechnic College in Journalism. He completed his OSHA 500 Trainer Course for construction in 2009. James’ work experience includes working at Dow Chemical from 1977-2004 in working operations and training and compliance. His job duties also require on and off-site assistance to employers, labor groups, trades and professional associations in the form of training and informational seminars.
Kelly Juday has been at Great Lakes Safety Training Center since 2006. She was named the Executive Director at Great Lakes Safety Training Center in August of 2012. As a Director for a non-profit entity, she is responsible for leading the center and directing the company’s vision as a partner for innovative safety solutions.
Prior to being named Executive Director, Kelly served as the Education Manager and was instrumental in creating strong client relationships, as well as developing and fine-tuning education programs in preparation for the opening of the center’s Hands-On Lab in March of 2012. She has been a champion for safety throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region with her countless efforts to reach out and promote safety education to companies of all sizes.
She is currently the President on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Safety Councils (AASC), an international association of safety professionals. She is also a proud member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and various manufacturing and safety associations around the region and nationally.
Kelly is a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS), an alumnus of Leadership Midland, is an avid youth sports and college sports fan and a supporter and volunteer of Relay for Life. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
